Being an entrepreneur in the industry, Mr. Phuyal joined hands with the newly admired Worldmed Assistance Global, comprised in the field of medical tourism, travel risk management, healthcare & assistance services to institute innovative development, morals, sustainability, and responsible business by providing caliber service and focusing on strategies to grow company brand awareness through modern marketing, innovation, and expanding the global reach of company networks. Additionally, Mr. Phuyal has experience in the travel, aviation, and tourism industry for over a decade with sustainable goals and an ambition to accelerate the leadership of the organization. He graduated with a Master's Degree in Tourism Management, and Diploma in International Airlines & Business Management.

Mr. PK Sherpa | Non-Executive Director

A climate activist & Mount Everest (x3) summit, Mr. Sherpa has started recycling rubbish, which he collected over 8,000 meters on Mount Everest with a tourism business and a history of trekking and expeditions for over two decades. A resident of Sanghu in Taplejung district, he is a leader in tourism & has climbed Mount Everest & other 8,000-meter-high peaks and mountains. Also a former board member of Nepal Mountain Academy, he has been continuously raising awareness about climate change which has been severely affecting the mountains of Nepal. "Snow is water and water is life, so if there is no snow there is no life," he coaches often. He is popularly known as PK Sherpa & the world record duo "Father & Son" named Everest Summit & cast in the movie Death Zone- Cleaning Mount Everest.

Dr. Saubhagya Neupane | Chief Operating Officer

Prior to joining Worldmed Assistance, Dr. Neupane, a graduate of NAIHS, Nepal, spent several years in various medical organizations and institutions. After years in different holding-level positions, he leads Worldmed programs and was appointed Chief Operating Officer and member of the WGA Network in March 2020.A licensed healthcare professional who maintains the health of our clients through the practice of medicine and looks after the overall operations of the organization. He is a Medical Operations expert who has had extensive experience in different management roles throughout his profession. He is a Medical Executive from the NAIHS, Nepal, complemented by various trainings and courses in the same practices.

Dr. Bhupendra Sharma ​| Executive Director​

Dr. Sharma has been leading the organization in the position of Executive Director recently. He is a distinguished physician dedicated to advancing healthcare access and quality. A graduate of Kathmandu Medical College, he brings over six years of expertise in patient care, emergency medicine, and healthcare leadership. He has held several key roles in major hospitals as a medical director, advisor, and medical personnel, and currently serves as Executive Director - Medical Operations at Worldmed Assistance Global. Additionally, Dr. Sharma is a charter member of the Lions Club of Kathmandu Young Minds. With specialized training in trauma and emergency response, he is committed to addressing company needs swiftly and effectively in high-stakes environments.

Dr. Ramesh Dhakal | Sr. Medical Advisor

Dr. Dhakal plays a crucial role in Worldmed – as a senior medical & health advisor by providing valuable guidance on healthcare and medical practices. Additionally, he has already served as a former advisor to the Ministry of Health & Population, Government of Nepal, as former Chief Secretary of the National Health Federation & many more institutions, and is currently acting as a senior advisor to Worldmed Assistance Network. Being a prominent physician with over 14 years of leadership and the Chairman/Hospital Director of Shankarapur Hospital in Kathmandu, he has played a pivotal role in establishing the hospital’s reputation for clinical excellence and fostering a community-focused healthcare environment.

Dr. Sunit Dahal | Medical Advisor

He is a renowned orthopedic and spinal surgeon currently practicing at Kathmandu Medical College. With specialized expertise in spinal surgery, sports medicine, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and trauma care, he is recognized for delivering advanced surgical solutions. Dr. Dahal completed his MS in Orthopaedics from Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. Board-certified by the Nepal Medical Council and Pakistan Medical & Dental Council, he blends extensive clinical experience with a passion for research and education. He is currently acting as an orthopedic medical advisor to our client and insured and assisting in every possible situation.

Dr. Suban Bhandari | Medical Advisor

Dr. Bhandari plays a crucial role in Worldmed – Healthcare section by providing valuable guidance on healthcare and assistance. Primarily performs case reviews to evaluate prior medical actions and determine whether the physician's initial findings and recommendations should be confirmed. He also creates partnerships and networks with various medical professionals to enhance the quality of healthcare provided to patients by the providers.

Dr. Laxmi Mala | Medical Doctor

A licensed health professional who maintain our client health through the practice of medicine and provide medical advice. Examine patients, Review the medical history, diagnose illnesses or injuries, administer treatment and counsel patients on the health and well being through our supervision.

Dr. Marvi Panta ​| Medical Doctor

Dr. Panta is currently serving as a medical team member at Worldmed. She is a skilled & compassionate medical professional with an MBBS degree from Kathmandu Medical College. With a strong foundation in internal medicine, she has honed her expertise through diverse roles in clinical care, including her tenure at B&C Medical College Teaching Hospital. She has experience managing complex medical conditions, with a focus on patient-centered care. Her work also encompasses altitude-related illnesses and travel medicine, reflecting her adaptability and commitment to addressing unique health challenges.

Dr. Aarpi Bhusal ​| Registered Doctor

She is a dedicated medical professional who graduated from Birat Medical College in 2024. She is currently working as a doctor at Medicare Hospital, specializing in emergency care and ICU, and also serves as a medical member of Worldmed Medical Network. With a commitment to providing critical care, Dr. Bhusal plays an essential role in providing high-quality medical services in emergencies to our clients and policyholders.

Mr. Shyam Kr. Phuyal | Operations Executive

He is currently responsible for overseeing case management, travel assistance, and the course of relevant services during operations. Additionally, he handles the complexity of cases depending on the situation and location. Additionally, he has held various relevant management skills and business programs and currently holds the position of Operations Executive at Worldmed Network.

Ms. Saras Bhandari | Operations Team

She is currently serving the company as a Travel Consultant, whenever our client had travel problems, she will handle as a Basic Needs.

He is currently working under the operations department as the case management and corresponding officer with the seasonal external operations tasks and activities.

Ms. Shabbu Shrestha | Emergency Nurse

She is a dedicated registered nurse with over six years of experience, specializing in emergency and critical care. She currently serves as a Quick Response Team (QRT) nurse in the Emergency Department of KMC Teaching Hospital and excels in high-pressure, life-saving situations. She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Pokhara University, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and public health. She is a member of Worldmed as an emergency nurse and public health professional, helping to improve medical and emergency care for our clients.

Ms. Richa Acharya | Registered Nurse

She is a registered nurse and qualified health professional with extensive experience in clinical care and nursing education. She has acquired diverse knowledge through clinical positions in renowned hospitals in India and Nepal excelling in trauma management, ICU care during the COVID-19 pandemic, patient counseling, and advanced procedures such as CPR, intubation, and management of ventilators. Certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BLS and ACLS), she is currently a member of the Worldmed Medical Network.
